EBC: Part 2: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar.

Trek day 3

APRIL 8th, 2018.

Namche Bazar, 3440 masl.

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar.

Always a good idea to stay at Namche Bazar for an extra day for acclimatization.
Here you can explore the area around the village and also explore the Everest museum there.
There is also an impressive viewpoint at the top of the hill with views of all the highest peaks including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam.
Also an airport called Syangboche lies at 3750 meters. Not longer used for commercial flights. Mainly helicopters land here.

Not far from Syangboche and Namche, you have a village called Khumjung.
To the north you have the mountain Khumbila (God of Khumbu), which is 5761 masl.
